Mrs. Leah Hicks

Leah was once a student at Heartland Christian Academy and is delighted to be back teaching 5th and 6th grade. She graduated from North Central University in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education and a Language Arts concentration. She had the benefit of a 6th grade student teaching experience in the Minneapolis school district and loved working with that age group. After graduation, she spent several months teaching Kindergarten at an orphanage in Peru with her husband Harrison. Leah says "I am excited to continue pursuing my interests in Spanish, photography, and art in my hometown of Bemidji".
